Puppet Theatre Barge: Marionette Shows at Little Venice

The Puppet Theatre Barge is a marionette show that entertains kids and adults alike. It was founded by Juliet Rogers and Gren Middleton. The puppeteers perform these shows on their longboat, which can accommodate around 50 people.
They usually feature traditional or classic fables on their shows. Some examples of these are Little Red Riding Hood, The Tortoise and The Hare, and The Little Christmas Tree. Their performances usually last an hour, and they actually serve snacks and refreshments.
Aside from enjoying the Puppet Theatre Barge, there are other things you can do (and places you can visit), if you’re staying at any of the self catering apartments in London for an even more memorable day, such as:
An obvious suggestion is to ride a boat—enjoy the view as you relax.

If you’re not that into boating, you could instead take a walk to Camden Town and check out the beautiful places along the way.

In Little Venice, you can take a short tour by using your very own map. Or, you could opt to get a tour guide. This typically costs around £10.

If you’re fond of walking, then you may visit the Rembrandt Gardens, which showcases Amsterdam’s 700th anniversary. You will find some of the most beautiful flowers in this area.

If you go hungry, Little Venice has a few restaurants right around the corner. Some good examples include The Quince Tree Café at Clifton Nurseries, The Bridge House, Kateh, Warwick Castle, and Waterside Café.

If you love exploring places, then you should try Regent’s Park. You can take your time here and find activities to do as a family. This can also be a good place to rest after a long walk.

If you love history, then be sure to check out Alan Turing’s birthplace. You’ll get a peek into the life of the Father of Modern Computing.

However, if you plan to visit these landmarks as a key part of your visit, we recommend booking any short stay apartments in London, which will make the trip more straightforward.
Going back to the Puppet Theatre Barge, they are currently located at Little Venice, Blomfield Road (opposite 35). The nearest tube is at Warwick Avenue Bakerloo Line. This is a three-minute walk to the Puppet Theatre Barge.
Another way to get there is by bus. There are four sets of bus lines that will get you there. Bus lines 6, 187 and 414 stop at Warwick Avenue, requiring a three-minute walk at most. Bus line 46 stops at Blomfield Road and is a two-minute walk from the place.
Bus line 18 stops at Bishops Bridge Little Venice and comes with a three-minute walk. Bus lines 16, 98, and 332 stop at Orchardson Street, from which you’ll have to take a seven-minute walk. You can also use the National Rail. Drop off at Paddington Station (it’s a 10-minute walk though).
If you’re thinking of getting a ticket for the show, you can do so through their website: puppetbarge.com. It’s best to book in advance as tickets get sold quickly due to the barge’s limited capacity. Ticket prices will vary. For adults, it costs £13; while for children, it costs £9.

Location: London, UK
